A phenomenal achievement for Year 13 student Imogen “Immy” McSweeney, who has been selected for the UAE Senior Women’s National Rugby Team! 🇦🇪
Immy, one of NAS Dubai’s most talented rugby players, has had a remarkable few months. She was recently selected to represent the UAE Under-18s in China, and she has now taken the incredible step up to the UAE Senior Women’s National Team.
She has earned selection to compete in the Asia Rugby Sevens Series in Sri Lanka, where she will take on some of the best teams in the region, all while completing her final year at school.
From the School Pitch to the International Stage
Moving up to senior international rugby while still at school is a rare accomplishment. Immy’s selection reflects her talent, hard work and dedication, as she balances training and competition with the demands of Year 13.
Her success is also a wonderful inspiration to younger students at NAS Dubai, showing what can be achieved with commitment and a love of the game.
Congratulations, Immy!
Everyone in the NAS Dubai community is incredibly proud of Immy and wishes her the very best of luck as she represents the UAE in Sri Lanka. We can’t wait to follow her journey! 👏🏉
